Founded in 2020, Sol y Luz, Inc. is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to serving disadvantaged and underserved elderly communities in Mexico and US. With deep roots in compassion and community, our mission is to bring dignity, care, and meaningful support to aging populations who are too often overlooked. Through grassroots outreach, essential services, and long-term partnerships, we work to improve the quality of life for those most in need.

At Sol y Luz, our primary mission revolves around providing essential support to those elders in greatest need, including food, clothing, toiletries, and medical attention to sustain a quality of life. Together, we are a beacon of care and compassion for those deserving of our collective support.
Community founded with a vision to address critical societal challenges.
Sol y Luz provides critical support to elderly individuals facing hardship by addressing both immediate and long-term needs. Our assistance includes the distribution of essential items such as food, hygiene products, adult diapers, blankets, mattresses, and home appliances like washing machines. We also support medical and healthcare needs—funding cataract surgeries, facilitating access to medical care, and covering housing costs such as rent. Notably, we sponsored a full leg amputation and prosthetic for an elder in need, including ongoing physical therapy. Our goal is to improve quality of life with compassion, dignity, and sustained care.
